Michelle Wolf

Family Peer Support Partner

Michelle Wolf is a devoted mother of three, a wife of 27 years, and works full time as a dialysis technician with 30 years of experience caring for others.

In November 2020, Michelle experienced the devastating loss of her youngest daughter, Abbey, to suicide. From that unimaginable loss came a commitment to honor Abbey’s memory by turning her pain into purpose.

For the past five years, Michelle has been the Founder and President of Abbey’s Bakery, a nonprofit organization created in memory of Abbey. Through Abbey’s Bakery, Michelle works to break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage people to speak openly about their struggles, and raise awareness for suicide prevention.

Michelle also volunteers with the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Task Force and the Peyton Heart Project, dedicating her time and voice to helping others and supporting suicide-prevention efforts.

Outside of her work and advocacy, Michelle enjoys hiking, traveling, being outdoors as much as possible, spending time on the beaches of the Outer Banks, and making memories with her family and friends.

Over the past five years, Michelle’s personal experience, community involvement, and advocacy have become a passion she strongly embraces. She continues to share Abbey’s story in hopes of reminding others that they are not alone, their lives matter, and it is okay to ask for help.
